Update - November 8th 2012 - Final Report of the OPM Engagement Programme
The completed OPM engagement exercise report focused on the children's respiratory services at the Royal Brompton Hospital (RBH) and can be downloaded here.
This updates the initial report which was produced for the Safe and Sustainable JCPCT meeting on 4th July, and includes analysis of all comments received and a new section on 'next steps'.
We anticipate further engagement activities on children's respiratory services in London, through the London Tertiary Paediatric Programme, so to request further updates and/or involvement in future engagement during implementation of the JCPCT decision, please contact respiratoryengagement@londonscg.nhs.uk or 020 7869 8412.

The London Specialised Commissioning Group (SCG) works on behalf of the capital’s 31 primary care trusts to understand the health needs of Londoners and agree the types of specialised services that will meet those needs. We then commission safe, reliable and cost-effective services and evaluate their effect.
Specialised services are often cutting-edge and provided to a small number of patients who are suffering from uncommon conditions, such as cancer in children or young people, or haemophilia. Treatment is frequently over a long period of time and requires a large team of specialist clinicians to provide patients with the best possible care and an improved quality of life.
